This is good quality personal diary with nice soft pages. My eight year old really wanted his personal diary and I am happy I found this one in really affordable price. Good leather look cover. Happy with the quality.

This is a great notepad which I have started to use as my daily journal, its pages are more than big enough to fill a daily roundup of my whole day and what I have been feeling. As I am a tradesman I also use this book to organise my jobs for the day on the page before the one I use as a journal. I specifically chose this book as the pages aren’t blank they have lines all the way through allowing me to write on them and keep all my writing neatly together. There’s a purpose made block at the top for writing the full date in so I can keep track of which days I have what planned work wise and if I had a daily journal that day too.I like that the front page is a section for my own details, I personally haven’t filled out the entire thing as I don’t really need to but this could definitely be beneficial to maybe a student.I do just love the overall material or the notepad, a lovely soft leather that isn’t too heavy or hard. The pages are just a good thickness to happily write on and my pen not go through the page. The badge on the front is a nice touch, how it’s part of the actual cover and not just printed on. Gives a lovely premium feel to it.

Really impressed with the vegan leather cover on this. As someone who doesn't buy leather goods, I have several vegan leather products, and they can really run the gambit of feeling and quality. This one has honestly met if not exceeded the quality of any of my other vegan leather items. It's nice and thick and feels very high quality, but it also feels buttery soft. I was really surprised just how nice it felt to the touch. The pages are thick and crisp, which is good as I use a fountain pen, so I've had no issues with bleed-through. The book itself seems well bound and sturdy. I also like the elastic strap to keep it closed. Would 100% buy another one of these once I have filled this one.

The Chess Works Privy Small Writing Journal Notebook is a stylish and practical choice for those who love to jot down thoughts, notes, or ideas. This A5-sized journal offers 256 pages of lined writing space, making it ideal for students, professionals, or anyone who enjoys keeping a diary. Here's my review of this journal, focusing on its design and functionality. The first thing I noticed about this notebook is its beautiful red vegan leather hardcover. It has a smooth texture and a sophisticated look, adding a touch of elegance to your writing experience. The durability of the cover ensures that it can withstand daily wear and tear, making it suitable for regular use. The chess motif on the cover adds a unique and attractive design element, appealing to those who appreciate thoughtful details. The journal's A5 size is perfect for carrying around in a bag or backpack without taking up too much space. This makes it ideal for students who need a compact notebook for classes or for professionals who want to take notes during meetings. The 256 pages offer ample space for writing, allowing you to use the journal for an extended period before needing a new one.One of the standout features of this journal is the pen holder, which is a simple yet convenient addition. It allows you to keep your favorite pen or pencil attached to the notebook, ensuring that you always have a writing tool on hand. This feature is particularly useful for those who are constantly on the move and need quick access to their pen.The lined pages are another significant advantage, providing a structured format for writing. The lines are evenly spaced, making it easy to write neatly and consistently. This is a valuable feature for those who use the journal for note-taking, journaling, or planning. The paper quality is good, with minimal bleed-through, allowing you to use a variety of pens without worry.Overall, the Chess Works Privy Small Writing Journal Notebook is a versatile and stylish choice for anyone who enjoys writing. Its vegan leather hardcover, compact size, and pen holder make it a practical and attractive option. Whether you're using it for school, work, or personal journaling, this notebook offers a high-quality writing experience. This is an A5 journal perfect for making daily notes. The journal is wrapped in faux leather, with the front cover embossed with the word "Journal" and a decorative motif of some chess pieces. It also includes a handy page marker ribbon along with two elasticated bands - one to secure a pen and another to keep the journal closed. The interior is mainly lined pages, each with a space in the top-right corner for the date. While the paper quality isn't the very best I've encountered in a journal, it's certainly good enough for everyday use.Towards the back, the page style diversifies with around 15 pages of square grids followed by sections designated for lists of books to read, tasks to accomplish, places to visit, names and address, and expense tracking. These predefined pages might not fit everyone's needs. Personally, I found them to be the least useful part of the journal and would have preferred either more lined pages or some free-form space to use as needed. There's also a paper wallet inside the back cover, intended for storing loose papers and notes. However, this feels a little cheap as if somebody just hastily glued an envelope in place.Overall though, a decent journal that looks great on your desk and is pretty affordable at the current price point of £8.49.

This notebook comes with good-quality paper. Although it does not list the GSM, the paper is quite thick. It seems similar to other notebooks I have used, so while I am not making a positive claim, I would say it’s somewhere in the 100 GSM range, and it does feel quite nice to write on.The notebook includes a few pages for things like accounting. However, the main thing I was interested in was the actual note pages. The lines are well spaced, allowing for comfortable writing. Additionally, the pages are a sort of off-white, which makes reading back comfortable. It is bound with a PU leather cover, which feels of decent quality. At £8.49, asking for proper leather is probably a bit of a stretch. I picked the blue one, which is a bit bright in colour and may have a more modern look, but it still feels a little bit classy.

I ordered this journal notebook A5, black and it’s stylish and well done, good quality paper. The pages are ruled and I like the space between the lines.I like the fact it has a safety handy pocket inside in the back and an elastic pen holder. Also, it has elastic band, ribbon bookmark and date mark spaces in the top right-hand corner of each page and it is easy to carry around and looks professional in meetings. The cover is nice and smooth.I think is a good value for money (£8.49 at time of review) and I would recommend it
